In 2008 Uncle Oogie's brought their business home, opening Uncle Oogie's in South Philadelphia. Opening in the neighborhood they grew up in and still call home has been very special. In the few years since opening, their commitment and passion has enabled them to stand out in a very competitive environment.

They USED to be good. No more. I used to order from them directly FOR TWO YEARS(!), before they "partnered" with Grubhub. They also don't list prices on their menu anymore! Make it up as you go along? Today, I INTENTIONALLY ordered early - 3:30 on a Friday. I was hungry! Ordered the "Gourmet Whole Wheat Pizza" - the Valano. The Valano, which I'd previously ordered, listed as: Mozzarella cheese, fresh plum tomatoes, Italian sausage & topped with fresh basil. Asked if they could add mushrooms. They did add mushrooms, but do you see any "fresh basil?" Me neither! You see cheese or much sausage? Me neither! Oh well. No longer faithful.

Yikes! 1st and last time ordering from this spot. I ordered a chicken parm hogie and it was the worst I've ever seen. It was so dry and horrible. Thankfully I was omw to an event and tried it in the parking lot in my car. I immediately went back inside and requested a refund. The woman was very hesitant. But did cancel the payment. Also this place doesn't accept tap to pay. No biggie, but wish I knew before I walked in to pay.

Thank you to Uncle Oogie’s and the entire staff for such a wonderful experience! Not only was the pizza delicious (the sauce is perfection) but everyone was so welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely friendly. Our family of 10 (visiting from out of town and navigating gluten and dairy allergies) stopped in after celebrating my 3-year-old’s birthday at Adventure Aquarium, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We’re so grateful for the great food and kind hospitality!

Pizza was tasty and flavored along crispy crust! Sadly inside the place on the floors was dirty disappointed had a left over smoked cigarettes on the floor. Place looks good and small but okay design. Wings are sadly not all 10 right size I got the 10th smallest wing:/ got 9.5 Wings for 12.99 sad.
